The night before, wash the dried shiitake mushrooms and soak them in water overnight.
Do not discard the soaking water. Remove the shiitake mushrooms and set aside the water.
Use scissors to remove the mushroom stems, then cut the mushrooms into cubes.
In a small bowl, soak the dried shrimps for 5-10 minutes.
Roughly chop them into smaller pieces. If the dried shrimps are small, you can leave them whole.
Cut the Chinese sausages into small cubes.
In the rice cooker, add 2 cups of white rice and wash thoroughly.
Add the reserved mushroom water up to the 2-cup mark on the rice cooker.
Place the Chinese sausage and shiitake mushrooms in a small bowl.
Place the bowl in the steamer tray that comes with the rice cooker.
Select the "white rice" setting on the rice cooker and press start.
Once the rice is cooked, mix the Chinese sausage and shiitake mushrooms into the rice.
Ready to serve. Enjoy your delicious Cured Meat Rice!
