likebyregina Do you still remember the cream puff collaboration with Amy from Constellation Inspiration at BETA 5 few months ago? To celebrate BETA 5’s 8th birthday, they decided to bring them back as part of the 8th Birthday Pack. I didn’t buy the birthday pack, but instead I went lineup on Saturday to purchase some treats for Mr. and myself. The first 100 customers who purchase $25 or more can get a box of 12 pcs birthday-edition chocolate for free, and that’s the main reason for me to line up!
The door opened at 10 am, and I arrived around 9:50 am. The line was not too long at that time, but soon after I arrived, the line got much longer. BETA 5 offered numerous deals and prizes to celebrate the 8th birthday with its customers. If you purchase the Birthday Polygon Bars, then you will have a chance to win a gold ticket that worth $100 store credit. You can also win a $20 store credit if your Birthday Lollipops are covered in gold. Last but not least, any customers can spin the wheel, and each landing is a prize!
I want to share what I ended up buying to you all. I got 6 cream puffs, with 2 Salted Egg Yolk, Salted Caramel, Vietnamese Coffee, and two October featured cream puffs, Thai Tea and Pandan Coconut. I also won another cream puff when spinning the wheel – Variations of Chocolate.
For the Birthday Polygon Bar, I chose Pineapple Tart over the Raspberry Rose Lychee. Sadly, I didn’t win the gold tickets, but at least I get to enjoy the bar! Pineapple Tart uses caramelized white chocolate, but also adds pineapple to balance its sweetness.
Lastly, I received the free box of 12 pcs Birthday Chocolate, as being the first 100 customers. It showcases some of BETA 5’s favourite chocolates and put them into one box! My favourite is definitely the Sparkling Raspberry with popping candy inside.
Overall Impression
BETA 5 is getting more creative, and I am surprised by some of the creations. The flavors are on point and definitely outside the box. I really enjoyed the October Special, Pandan Coconut. If you ask me what are the best cream puff flavors so far, I would recommend trying Salted Egg Yolk (if they are selling them again!), classic Vietnamese Coffee, and the new feature flavors Pandan Coconut. They are all Asian-inspired flavors, and I really hope to see more creations! TAKE MY MONEY!
